Learnings From Mahamandi

                                                       Pre Mandi

Planning:

1) The area we intended to sell our products was very important and also if we had to go for street selling or door to door selling, was a dilemma for our team

2) Who would do the sales pitch and who would demonstrate working of the toys?

3) Should we split ourselves into mini teams or go everywhere as a group?

4) We studied our products thoroughly and read up on the NGO's as well..

                                        THE MAHAMANDI DAY

Finally the much awaited event of NITIE, Maha Mandi was around the corner and our campus was already buzzing with excitement. Teams were decided , products were in our hands and we were good to go , with the whole of Mumbai at our disposal.

Through this blog I wish to share my team's experience , our high points and low points and relevant suggestions.

Once we reached the mall. We had the biggest trouble any endeavour will face, the starting trouble. We were so shy and afraid to approach any of the public. We argued amongst ourselves and tried to push each other to start.  With no body ready to take the plunge, we started assembling the kits given to us for demonstration and bingo! Approached first customer Reject 1.... :(
then it continued for a while then we were disappointed.

One customer bought in our next approach then we were encouraged and picked up pace started selling and ended in 90 min. Woww...the thrill, joy, satisfaction are countless...

·  We also learnt that targeting the right customer is a very important thing.
·  From one's facial expression,a seller has to guess whether he is a potential buyer or not.
· During conversation never bring the price of the product first.Rather generate interest in the buyer's mind
·  Patience is a virtue and must be present in a seller.

· Never give up.Always try.
